重组人白细胞介素-12蛋白与其它公司提供的重组蛋白不同，rHuIL-12蛋白产品为采用CFS的无细胞麦胚蛋白合成系统表达出来的重组蛋白，可表达出对细胞有毒性、易被蛋白酶降解的蛋白；并获得具有良好的可溶性，并有翻译后修饰、从而部分具有功能的蛋白.同时独有的全自动蛋白纯化技术则简便高效，将蛋白纯化过程中对蛋白的损伤降低到*小程度.重组人白细胞介素-12蛋白（全长序列）产品可用于Western Blot验证、抗体制备、蛋白检测、ELISA等试验中.

| Background | Interleukin-12 (IL-12), also known as NKSF or CLMF, is a pleiotropic cytokine originally identified in the medium of activated human B lymphoblastoid cell lines. The p40 subunit of IL-12 has been shown to have extensive amino acid sequence homology to the extracellular domain of the human IL-6 receptor while the p35 subunit shows distant but significant sequence similarity to IL-6, G-CSF, and chicken MGF. These observations have led to the suggestion that IL-12 might have evolved from a cytokine/soluble receptor complex. Human and murine IL-12 share 70 % and 60 % amino acid sequence homology in their p40 and p35 subunits, respectively. IL-12 apparently shows species specificity with human IL-12 reportedly showing minimal activity in the murine system. |
